« Out of the Box : create and reinvent your life » is the Grundtvig workshop organised by Youth Express Network (Y-E-N) from 12th-18th February 2013 in Strasbourg, France. During 7 days, 22 learners coming from 11 different countries had the opportunity to take a step back and analyse life and themselves from a fresh perspective via experiential learning. One week of challenges, group work and individual moments in between ropes, carabins, garbage and recycled materials. The aim of the activity was to draw parallels between the materials that are reinvented for another use and the people who are looking for different opportunities in their lives. As one participant stated “I was very impressed how my mind worked after the tasks”, a better understanding of themselves and the increase of self esteem, were the main the outcomes of the learning process. And yes, they got out of the box!

Le Réseau Express Jeunes organise avec le Jugendamt du Landesratsmat Ortenau une journée pédagogique transfrontalière, à Offenbourg, Allemagne, le 12 avril 2013. Cette journée est destinée aux animateurs, travailleurs sociaux et responsables associatifs actifs dans le travail jeunesse qui désirent développer des projets transfrontaliers et franco allemands. Cette journée introduira les méthodes de l'animation linguistique.

The last activity of our long-term project "You(th) are the champions - Strategies for youth employment" took place in Grožnjan, Croatia, from 1st-6th October 2012. Partners from the project had the opportunity to meet and cross together the finishing line with a gold medal! According to the evaluation, the project and its 4 activities had a real impact on participants, partner organisations and local communities. We all, as a big team of participants, involved during 13 months in "You(th) are the champions", realised that we learnt a lot and according to the feedbacks we have more things to keep than to improve/avoid for future Y-E-N projects.

For one week 39 people from 13 different countries have met in Dubingiai, Lithuania, and challenged themselves to increase youth employment rate. Focusing on entrepreneurial competences and risk taking, during this training course participants went on a two days hike in Lithuanian forests and villages, discussed the current situation of youth employment in Europe, named and planned the dream jobs, looked for possible funding opportunities. The Training course “Take a Risk” was the 4th step in the multi-measure project “You(th) Are The Champions” and took place in Lithuania from 17-23th August 2012. At the beginning of October the whole project will be evaluated by the partners in Groznjan, Croatia.
